Herbert C. Braley, III, 74, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, after a short illness. He was the husband of the late Cecelia A. (Fitts) Braley. Born in New Bedford, he was raised and educated in Rochester and Middleboro. He was a longtime resident of Stoughton before moving to West Bridgewater for about 5 years and then to Lakeville 10 months ago. Mr. Braley worked as a Tractor Trailer Driver for many years and was a proud Teamster. He was a dedicated father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He was a fan of the Red Sox and Patriots and enjoyed his Dunkin Donuts coffee and reading his daily Enterprise.
He is survived by his children, Betty Jean Lawson and her husband Richard, James Braley and Jerry Braley and his wife Jennifer all of FL, Pamela Boen and her husband Joseph of Sandwich, Lisa Simonds and her husband Mark of Lakeville, Bonnie Beaulieu and her husband Chris of Taunton, Lori Braley of Stoughton, Kathleen Fitting of Brockton, Charles Fitting of Quincy and the late Robert Fitting. He is survived by 25 grandchildren, two sisters and several great grandchildren and was predeceased by one brother and one grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, October 13 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
