Henrietta (Gustowski) Manak, 90, died Sunday Nov 27, 2011, at the Copley Nursing Home in Stoughton, MA where she had been a resident since 2003. She was the wife of the late Theodore Manak. Mrs. Manak was born in Hyde Park, MA, and moved to Poland with her parents as a young girl. She was educated in Poland and returned to America in 1958 with her husband and 3 sons, and lived in Dorchester, Milton and for over 20 years has lived in Stoughton. Mrs. Manak was a member of the Polish American Veterans in South Boston. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her sons, Christopher G. Manak of CA, Mark M. Manak of MD, and Peter L. Manak of Webster and a sister, Helen Wisniewski of Quincy MA. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Wladyslawa Wawrzak and Alexandra Zaborowski. She was the grandmother of: Christopher Manak Jr, Amy Rueda, Jonny Manak, Stasia Manak, Edward Manak and William Manak and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, Dec 3 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-8 PM. Burial will be at the New Calvary Cemetery, Boston. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
