Helen K. Zawaski

Helen K. (Socha) Zawaski, 87, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the West Acres Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Brockton. She was the wife of Chester J. Zawaski. Born in Gilbertville, MA, she was a graduate of Hardwick High School in Hardwick, MA. She was a resident of Stoughton for 55 years. Mrs. Zawaski was a homemaker and also worked at Balsam's Card & Gift Store in the Westgate Mall for 20 years, retiring in 1998. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her husband and family.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Zawaski is survived by her two daughters, Cathy-Ann Zawaski of Boca Raton, FL and Linda J. Workman and her husband Neal of Kennebunk, ME. She was the grandmother of Taylor and Whitney Workman. She is also survived by several nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, April 13 at 8:45 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Easton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Helen's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
