Helen Marie (Miranda) Piazza, a loving pillar of her family and a dear friend to many, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on March 31, 2025, at the age of 84. Born, raised and educated in Cambridge, she was a resident of Stoughton for over 30 years, previously living in Randolph for several years. Helen was the heart of her family—a devoted matriarch whose love, wisdom, and warmth spanned generations.
Helen’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her four daughters, Maria Eugley, Laura Franklin, Helenmarie Gorman, and Rhonda Watts; her nine grandchildren and their spouses, whom she welcomed as her own; eleven and a half great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog Bella. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Ronald Piazza, and her sister, Ruthann Silva.
Helen lived with warmth, joy, and generosity. A gifted cook, she brought her family’s Italian and Portuguese heritage to life in the kitchen, creating dishes that became the centerpiece of every gathering. She built deep and meaningful relationships across generations, forming bonds not only with her children but with her grandchildren and beyond. Her humor, kindness, and unwavering love made her the heart of every room, and her presence will be profoundly missed.
The family welcomes all who loved her to join in honoring her life with Visiting Hours to be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte.27) Stoughton on Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 4-7 PM. Funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, supporting a cause close to her heart.
Helen’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and devotion to family. Though she is no longer with us, the lessons she imparted and the love she gave will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
