Helen Jimenez Orlando

Helen (Johnson) Jimenez Orlando, 92, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Antonio Jimenez and Fred Orlando. Born in Birmingham, AL, Helen spent most of her life in the greater Boston area. She lived in South Boston and Dorchester before settling in Brockton to be near her extended family. Helen loved to be around people, treated everyone with kindness, warmth and dignity, and lived her life to the fullest. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, shopping, travelling and, most of all, spending time with her family. We are all blessed by our time with her on this earth. She will live forever in our hearts.
Known and loved by all as the matriarch of her large family, Helen was the proud mother of nine children: Helen Patti, Robert Jimenez, Marianne Leahy, Susan Rosher and Juanita Hamade all of Brockton, Richard Jimenez of Holbrook, Debra Myers of Hull, James Jimenez of Braintree and the late Anthony Jimenez. She was adored by all of her children, their spouses, her twenty-six grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She never missed a birthday and made every child feel special and loved. In addition to her husbands, she was predeceased by her sister Mary Louise Walsh and two grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Friday at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Christ the King Church, 54 Lyman St. Brockton at 10:30 AM. Friends and family are invited to attend wake services on Thursday, August 28, from 4-8 PM.
