Helen (Nigohosian) Minasian, 85, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015, at her home surrounded by devoted family and friends. She was the wife of the late Richard Minasian. Born and raised in Roslindale, she was a graduate of Roslindale High School, Class of 1946. Mrs. Minasian was a resident of Brockton for the past 4 years, previously living in Stoughton for 10 years and was a longtime snowbird in Boca Raton, FL. She worked as a waitress at several area restaurants, including the Club Car in Norwood, the Holiday Inn in Dedham and at the Greenery in Chestnut Hill. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo, traveling to Twin River Casino and looked forward to her annual trips to Aruba. She was a caregiver to many and loved spending time with her family and friends, both old and new. She also loved her "Widdles"; Rocky, Rusty and Ruffles.
She is survived by her children, Barbara M. Rothwell and her husband Robert of Brockton and John A. Delcore of Ayer. She was the sister of the late Mary Vartanian and Yagazar "Rocky" Nigohosian. She is also survived by her grandson, John Derek Delcore and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Donations in Helen's memory may be made to the Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, 350 S Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
