Helen B. Fine

Helen B. (Chronis) Fine, 78, died peacefully Monday, November 1, at her home surrounded by her family and friends, after a period of failing health. She was the wife 53 years of Melwyn B. Fine, M.D. Born in Bridgewater, she was raised in Bridgewater and attended Bridgewater Schools. As a teenager, she moved to Manchester, NH and was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Manchester. Mrs. Fine also was a graduate of Boston City Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse at several hospitals before raising her family. She also worked for her husband's medical practice in Stoughton. In her free time, Mrs. Fine enjoyed swimming, reading, shopping, exercising and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Diane E. Fine of Stoughton and Natalie M. Pettey and her husband David of Taunton. She was also the mother of the late Kenneth C. Fine. Mrs. Fine was the grandmother of Kristen Pettey and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, November 5 at 6:30 PM. Visiting Hours prior to the service from 4-6:30 PM. Donations in Helen's name may be made to the Livestrong Lance Armstrong Foundation, POB 6003, Albert Lea, MN 56007-6603.
