Helen L. (Quattrochi) Cox, 84, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the St. Joseph's Manor in Brockton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Bernard A. Cox. Born and raised in Jamaica Plain, she was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School. Mrs. Cox was a resident of St. Joseph's Manor in Brockton for the past 3 years and was known as the "Butterfly Lady." Previously, she lived in East Bridgewater for 15 years, Stoughton for several years and Canton for 15 years. She was a homemaker. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music, watching old movies, and playing Bingo.
Mrs. Cox is survived by her children, William G. Cox of Everett, Leigh P. Cox of Canton and Theresa B. Kinney of Brockton. She was the sister of the late Anna Quattrochi, Frances Quattrochi, Evelyn Welch, Prudence Quattrochi and Gregory Quattrochi. She was deeply loved by her many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, April 6 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours prior to the prayers from 10-11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Breast Cancer Society, 10400 Little Patuxent Parkway, Suite 480, Columbia, MD 21044.
