Harriet G. Anthony, 83, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Wednesday, November 25, at the home of her niece, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Mission Hill, she was a graduate of Girls Latin High School and also attended Burdett Business School. She was a resident of Stoughton for over 40 years. Ms. Anthony worked as an Executive Secretary at Cumberland Farms Executive Offices in Canton for over 10 years, previously working at the Bird Machine Company in Walpole for many years. She retired at age 58. Harriet was a longtime volunteer at the Stoughton Library in the Literacy Program. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing and a spirited discussion on politics. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Harriet was the beloved sister of Christopher Anthony of TX and the late Archie Anthony, Ted Anthony and Evelyn Parlee. She is also survived by several devoted nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery, 1100 Washington St., Stoughton on Tuesday, December 8 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the services in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton from 9:30-10:30 AM.
