Harold W. Hannaway, 100, died Sunday, November 13 at the Elizabeth Seton Residence in Wellesley. He was the husband of the late Emma (Kennedy) Hannaway. Born in Newton, he was raised in Roxbury and a graduate of Boston Schools. Mr. Hannaway worked as a produce worker for Elm Farms in Dorchester for many years. He retired at age 62. He also worked with the Quincy Mosquito Control for several years. A history buff, in his free time, he enjoyed nature.
He is survived by his children, Harold C. of CT and Dorothy L. Hoffman of Stoughton He was predeceased by his wife Emma (Kennedy) Hannaway, his daughter Sr. Kathleen Michael SCH and his sons Richard and John Hannaway. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held in the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., on Thursday at 9 AM. Visiting Hours omitted. Donations in Harold's name may be made to the Elizabeth Seton Residence, 125 Oakland St., Wellesley, 02481.
