Guido F. "Squeaky" "Jimmy" Imbaro, 86, a former resident of Hyde Park, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2015 at the St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Utica, NY. Born in Boston, he was raised in Hyde Park, and was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. He was a Veteran of the US Army. A resident of Ilion, NY for the past 30 years, he loved to entertain, whether it was singing, playing the piano or storytelling. He was a member of the Annunciation Church in Ilion, NY.
He is survived by his children, Cheri Castaneda of Brockton, Frank Imbaro of Florida and James Imbaro and Lynn Imbaro both of Stoughton. He was the husband of Ruth Imbaro of Canton. Son of the late Philip and Lucia (Tosti) Imbaro, he was the loving brother of Alice Palumbo of Hyde Park, and the late Nicholas Imbaro, Philip "Chickie" Imbaro, Antoinette Sera, Josephine Corsini, Mary Rogazzo, Emma Priante, Concetta Lambiase, Frank Imbaro and Louie Imbaro. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. James Church, 560 Page St., Stoughton on Tuesday, June 30 at 10:30AM. Visiting hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton prior to the Mass from 9-10 AM. Donations in his memory may be made to the Rome VA Clinic, Attn.
