Gretchen Soehner

Gretchen Soehner, 65, a longtime resident of Attleboro, died peacefully at home on Monday, October 27, 2014. She was the longtime companion of Richard J. O'Neill of Attleboro. Daughter of the late Bernard P. Soehner, MD and Beatrice V. (Zielinski) Soehner, she was born and raised in Rochester, NY and graduated from Nazareth Academy in Rochester. She resided in Attleboro for the past 30 years. Gretchen was a news editor at WCVB Channel 5 for the past 30 years after working for WBZ Channel 4 prior to that. She enjoyed reading, spending time on Cape Cod and in Maine and being with her family.
In addition to Richard, Gretchen is survived by her siblings, William J. Soehner, Eric P. Soehner, Mary K. Terzo and Gregory Soehner all of New York and Elizabeth A. Soehner of California. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, October 31 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
