Greta M. (Hollander) Hadges

In loving memory of Greta Hadges, age 94, a longtime resident of Scituate, who died peacefully at Morton Hospital in Taunton on Sunday, December 31, 2023.  She was the beloved wife of the late George Hadges.  Daughter of the late Oscar Karl and Margaret (Sullivan) Hollander, she was born in Boston and raised in Brockton.  She graduated from Thayer Academy in Braintree.  An avid golfer and longtime member of Thorny Lea Golf Club in Brockton, Greta's passion for family was unparalleled.  She spoke proudly of her grandchildren to all who would listen.  Greta found joy in the simple pleasures of life, indulging in her love for shopping, relishing a good read, and savoring anything chocolate.  Her warm spirit and love will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her.  May she rest in eternal peace.

Greta is survived by her son John Hadges of North Easton, his wife Dianne, and their children, Tate and Jack.  She was the sister of the late Evelyn, Dr. Oscar, Ann and Dr. Richard and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
