Grace A. (Landers) Manifase, 73, died Saturday, October 13, at the Goddard Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton. She was the wife of the late Stanley J. Manifase. Born in Roxbury, she was raised in Roxbury and a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School, Class of 1951. Mrs. Manifase worked as a Security Guard at Reliable Gold Plating in Canton for several years, retiring 20 years ago. Prior to that, she worked for the Stoughton Police Department as a Police Matron and also as a crossing guard for 15 years. She was the former Treasurer of the Policewoman's Association. In her free time, she enjoyed watching television, playing the Lottery and painting.
She is survived by her children, Stanley J. Manifase, Jr. of Cohasset, Thomas E. Manifase of NJ and Grace A. Manifase of Holbrook. She was the sister of Geraldine Mullin of CA, Jeanne Bonin of Mansfield and the late Helen Landers. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chase Manifase, Ryan Manifase and Erin Manifase.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, October 19, at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 5-8 PM. Donations in Grace's memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
