Grace V. (Mondesire) Cato, 85, died at her home on Sunday, December 2. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Cato, Jr. Born Nashville, TN, she was raised and educated in Boston and was a graduate of Boston Schools. Mrs. Cato was a resident of Holbrook for over 45 years. She was a dedicated wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother to her family. In her free time, she enjoyed decorating and traveling to see family.
Mrs. Cato is survived by her children; Robert E. Cato III and Lamont A. Cato, both of Holbrook, Anthony M. Cato and his wife Barbara of MD and Marisa A. Duarte of FL. She was the sister of Faith Vaughn of CA and the late Hope Sanders and Charity Harris. Mrs. Cato was the grandmother of Renard Cato, Veronica Cato, Aundraya Duarte, Jasmine Griffin, Brandon Cato, Ryan Cato, Aja Cato, Israel Cato, and Xavier Cato. She was the great-grandmother of Isiah Cato, Skylar Cato, and Landon Cato. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, December 10 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the Services from 9-11 AM. Interment will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30 PM.
