Gordon E. "Bud" Price, 78, died Sunday, July 1, at home after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Janet M. (Emeigh) Price. Born in Somerville, he was raised in West Roxbury and a graduate of Boston Schools. He also attended Northeastern University and Wentworth Institute in Boston. Mr. Price was a World War II Veteran of the US Navy. Mr. Price worked as a Division Leader for Draper Laboratories in Cambridge for over 25 years, retiring at age 65. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 200 in Stoughton and was Past President of the Board of Directors for the Council. Mr. Price was also a member of the VFW Post 1645 in Stoughton and the Past President of Stoughton Little League and Stoughton High School Boosters Association. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, Irish and Country Music and traveling to Vermont. He was also a fan of the Red Sox and Patriots.
He is survived by his children, Barbara A. Thomas of CO, Donna L. Estes of Bridgewater and George W. Price of Stoughton. He was the father of the late Gary F. Price and Gordon M. Price. He was the brother of Beverly Ann Riddoch of Norfolk. Mr. Price is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, July 7 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-7 PM. Donations in Bud's name may be made to Knights of Columbus, 14 Seaver St., Stoughton, 02072. Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury.
