Geraldine F. "Gerry" Minichiello

Geraldine F. "Gerry" (Finn) Minichiello, 96, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Sunday, August 16, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Charles V. ("Charlie") Minichiello for 73 years. Daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Sheehan) Finn, she was born in Haverhill and raised in Groveland. For many years she lived in Winthrop where she raised her family. Later in life, she and her beloved "Charlie" lived in Sharon & Stoughton with their children. She was a homemaker by choice and by nature ? and she excelled at it. Her passions in life were her husband and their family, but she also enjoyed baking, reading, gardening, and jigsaw puzzles. Gerry also was a longtime volunteer at Winthrop Community Hospital and then at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton.

Gerry was the devoted mother of Charles V. "Chuck" Minichiello, Jr. and his wife Virginia of Carthage, NC, Annette Galley of Stoughton and Gerry Minichiello of New York City (and a second "mother" to so many more). She was the sister of the late Richard Finn. She is also survived by 6 loving grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Gerry was an extraordinary but simple person who made everyone she touched feel special but never realized how special she was.

A memorial celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
