George P. Tracey

George P. Tracey, 64, a resident of Brockton, died at Morton Hospital in Taunton on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 after a period of failing health. Son of the late Joseph J. and Ruth E. (Cushing) Tracey, he was born in Brockton and raised in Stoughton. He resided in Stoughton for 51 years before moving to Brockton 13 years ago. George was educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in Easton, Class of 1971. He was a machine operator at several area manufacturing shops including Marsons Corp. in Stoughton before his retirement 13 years ago. An avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, in his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
George is survived by his children, George M. Hoard of Taunton and Melanie Hoard and Beth Hoard both of New Bedford. He was the brother of Joseph W. Tracey of Abington, Kathryn L. Harju of New Hampshire and the late Robert E. Tracey and Charles F. Tracey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Prayers will be offered from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 3 PM. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the prayers from 1-3 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701
