George W. Legaski

George W. Legaski, Jr., 65, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2018 with family by his side. He was born on July 24, 1952. Son of the late George W. Legaski Sr. and Helen (Batulavich) Legaski Stetkis. He was the step-son to Henry "Hank" Stetkis.

George was a lifelong resident of Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton High School in 1970. He was a Sergeant in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in May 1975. He was formerly married to Denise (Entner) Infantino and is survived by his three children: Jessica (Legaski) Kennedy of Arlington; Jennifer (Legaski) San and her husband Paddy of Weymouth; and Joseph Legaski of Holbrook. Cherished grandfather of two grandchildren, Emily Sutherland and Alexa Kennedy. Dear brother of Shirley Legaski of Norwood and the late Carol Nardi of Stoughton. He was the beloved uncle of Philip Nardi and his fiancé Selena Amaral of Stoughton and great-uncle to Kristina Nardi of Stoughton. He was the nephew of the late Joseph Legaski.

George was a retired Master Pipefitter at General Motors and worked for many years at Plymouth Rubber. He had a passion for cars, especially hot rods and enjoyed long rides in his Corvette while listening to jazz music. George also enjoyed beaches and being outdoors. He spent many summers camping on Cape Cod. He was an avid animal lover. His hobbies were cooking, growing tomatoes, working with his hands and crossword puzzles. Proud supporter of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and Town Spa pizza.

George had a big heart and loved his family and friends. He spent countless hours playing catch in his backyard with his children. He will always be loved and forever missed.

A Memorial Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 3:45 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 2-3:45 PM.
