Geoffrey F. "Skip" Williams, 61, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at home on Wednesday, January 14. He was the husband of Sheryl A. (Lacey) Williams. Son of the late Francis and Paula (Hamblin) Williams, he was born in Boston, raised in Quincy and was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1967. He was a resident of Stoughton for the past 36 years. Mr. Williams was a U.S. Army Reserve Veteran of the Vietnam Era. A lifelong mechanic, he was the co-owner of S & W Automotive in Quincy before retiring a month ago due to illness. In his free time he enjoyed classic cars and car racing as well as working in his yard.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Williams is survived by his sons, Geoffrey M. Williams of Middleboro and Stephen M. Williams of Randolph, as well as his grandchildren, Derek M. and Brett M. Williams and Katie Tricarico. He was the brother of Pat Kimball of Scituate, Kevin Williams of Braintree, Scott Williams of Quincy, Casey Williams of Whitman and Shannon Gordon of Weymouth. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Memorial Service will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, January 31 at 4 PM. Visiting Hours omitted.
