Gary W. Ryder

Gary W. Ryder, 58, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died suddenly on Friday, November 28, 2014 at work in Stoughton. He was the husband of 15 years of Kathy Ann (Coulman) Ryder and the son of the late Kenneth J. and Evelyn A. (Estabrooks) Ryder. He was born in Brockton and raised in Stoughton, graduating from Stoughton High School, Class of 1974. Gary was a longtime employee of the town of Stoughton, working for the town as an engineer. He also worked in Brockton for Haywood, Boynton and Williams Engineering Company and currently was working at Child Quest Donation Center in Stoughton. In his free time Gary enjoyed gardening, woodworking, fishing, watching the Red Sox and Patriots and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Ryder is survived by his daughter, Evelyn F. Ryder of Stoughton and his step-children, Mike Hall of Brockton and Patty Lovejoy of Salem, NH. He was the brother of Cheryl M. Klausman and her husband Jerry of North Berwick, ME, Cynthia A. Totman and her husband Christopher of Stoughton and the late Kevin Ryder. He was the uncle of Kevin Klausman of TX, Rebecca Klausman of Revere, Tracey, Cole, Delaney and Cheyanne Wagner all of Stoughton.

A memorial service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton, on Friday, December 5 at Noon. Visiting Hours prior from 10-12 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary's memory may be made to his daughter, Evelyn Ryder for Education, PO Box 93, Stoughton, MA 02072.
