Frederick Joseph Zahn

Frederick Joseph Zahn, 71, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Sunday, March 23, 2025 after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Gail M. (Kowalik) Zahn for 44 years. Son of the late Arthur W. and Evelyn (Perrin) Zahn, he was born in Boston and raised in Jamaica Plain and Braintree. Fred was a graduate of Braintree High School, Class of 1971 and attended Blue Hills Technical Institute in Canton. He was a resident of Stoughton since 1982. He was a construction worker for many years. Fred was an avid golfer and former member of Braintree Municipal Golf Course. He loved playing guitar, listening to music, working on cars and traveling but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by his son, Frederick J. Zahn, Jr. and his wife Sarah of Leverett. He was the brother of Evelyn Mathews of California and Arthur Zahn of New Hampshire and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
