Frederick P. Tibets, age 87, passed away peacefully at the Heights Crossing Assisted Living in Brockton on May 6, 2023. Born in Boston, he was the son to the late Helen (Day) and Harold Tibets. He was predeceased by his wife Louise Ann (Jalalian) Tibets, whom he was lovingly devoted to for 60 years. He attended Cathedral High School in the South End and graduated Class of 1954, and then received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, from Boston State Teacher’s College in 1958, and went on to serve in the Army for 2 years after he attended school. He was an avid reader and enjoyed all things history, and absolutely loved cats. Above all, his greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and was a selfless man who centered his life around his loved ones. He will be truly missed by all those who had the honor of knowing him in this life.
Fred is survived by his children, Frederick P. Tibets, Jr. and his wife Milena of Watertown, Bridget Tibets-Dragunas and her husband Michael of Bridgewater, and Julie Galley and her husband James of Raynham. He was the beloved Papa of Shane Dragunas, Anna Dragunas, Martin Tibets and James Galley.
Services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fred’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452.
