Frederick L. Biffin, a longtime resident of Brockton, died Monday, October 1, 2018, at his home, after a short illness. He was the husband of 56 years of Sandra M. (DeCosta) Biffin. Born in Lynn, he was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1958. He was a resident of Brockton for over 51 years. Fred worked for American Airlines and the Transport Workers Union, Local 562 at Logan Airport in Boston, for over 51 years. He loved his work and in his free time, he enjoyed working on cars and reading.
In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by his three daughters; Kathleen A. Cohan and her husband John of Taunton, Nancy J. Flanagan and her husband Kevin of Raynham and Carla L. Biffin of Brockton. He was the grandfather of Matthew Cohan, Christopher Cohan, Katie Flanagan, Robert Flanagan and the late Brian Cohan. Fred was the brother of Carlene Storm of Danvers and the late Lorraine Wicks. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, October 5 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Directions and obituary at www.farleyfh.com.
