Fred G. Slabine, age 73, passed away on November 7, 2021 after a year of failing health. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Fred spent years in automotive sales and finance as well as business consulting. In 2013, Fred and his wife Nancy moved from Westborough, MA to Mizner Falls in Boynton Beach, Florida where he was an active member of the community and President of the Men's Club. Fred loved the Oldies but 'Goodies' and served as a DJ during his years of service – and again in Florida. He enjoyed playing golf, flying model airplanes and playing with his beloved Sheltie, Precious. He leaves behind his wife Nancy Ames Slabine, his son Marcus J. Slabine; his stepson Jeremy Ames and spouse Sara; his stepdaughter Jessica Ames and partner Dave Becker; his four grandchildren, Gretchen, Nina, Julian and Beatrix, and his two nieces, Tammy, Cherie and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, Julia and Joseph Slabine, his sister Carol Ann and his ex-wife Maxine Slabine. Fred was a special man with a warm heart and outgoing personality who will be greatly missed by his beloved family and many friends.
