Franklin W. "Boodie" Bishop, 92, died at the Blue Hills Alzheimer's Care Center in Stoughton on Friday, April 20 after a period of failing health. He was the devoted husband of the late Pearl (Orr) Bishop. Born in Stoughton, he was the son of the late Bessie A. (MacMillan) and Percy A. Bishop. He was a lifelong Stoughton resident and a graduate of Stoughton schools. Mr. Bishop was a Cement Mason for many years, he was in the Cement Finishers Union Local 504 and later became self-employed and ran Pearl Rite Concrete Floors until his retirement. He was an active member of the First Parish Universalist Church in Stoughton for 68 years and served on many committees. He was also a member of the 20-40 Club and was a Past Noble Grand of the Stoughton Lodge, No. 72, IOOF. After retirement, he enjoyed having a vegetable garden, woodworking, traveling and cooking.

Mr. Bishop is survived by his beloved daughter, Linda P. Weiler of Stoughton, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Gretchen L. Colson and her husband Norman of Stoughton and Douglas C. Weiler and his wife Renelle of Bridgewater. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Kayleigh and Cameron Colson and Trevor and Alex Weiler. He was the brother of the late Edith Nutting, Ruth Barrett, Edward Bishop, Arthur Bishop, Milton Bishop, Gordon Bishop and Charles Bishop. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Louise Orr of Stoughton.

Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, April 23 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-5 PM. Donations in Boodie's name may be made to First Parish Universalist Church, 790 Washington St., Stoughton, MA 02072. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton.
