Frank Robert Gallo, 75, a longtime resident of Hanson, died suddenly at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on Saturday, March 26, 2016. He was the husband of Leanne (Kennedy) Gallo for almost 50 years. Son of the late Joseph and Mary Gallo, he was born in Boston, raised in Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton High School. He resided in Hanson for over 40 years. He was an Airman 1st Class in the U.S. Air Force and a Veteran of the Vietnam War. Frank was a retired letter carrier in Brockton and a member of the NALC Local 156. He was a member of the D.A.V. He was a volunteer for the Hanson Senior Center and the Meals on Wheels program. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, playing golf and trips to Foxwoods.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Gallo is survived by his brother, Benemino Gallo of Bridgewater, his sister Jean Benton of Hanson and his sister-in-law, Phyllis Gallo. He was also the brother of the late Tony Gallo, Joe Gallo, John Gallo, Mary Soule, Sally Rojas, Lola Hagopian and Eleanor Gallo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, March 30 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours prior to service from 9:30-11 AM. Burial will follow at Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
