Frances M. (Flatten) Myers

Frances M. (Flatten) Myers, 92, died Monday, November 26, 2018, at the Hannah B. Shaw Home in Middleboro, after a short period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Paul W. Myers. Born and raised in The Bronx in New York City, she moved to Arlington while in high school and graduated from Arlington High School on D-Day, June 6, 1944. She was a resident of Bridgewater, living with her son Rick and his family, for over 16 years, previously living in Stoughton for over 40 years. Mrs. Myers worked as a secretary for Merkert Enterprises in Canton for over 25 years, retiring in 1994. She was a longtime communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, riding her bike around the neighborhood, swimming and shopping at Macys. She was a lover of dogs and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Mrs. Myers is survived by her children; Frances M. Anderson and her husband Lawrence of Chelmsford, Priscilla A. Walsh and her husband John and Paula M. Myers all of Stoughton, Paul W. Myers, Jr. of Taunton and Rick Myers and his wife Tara of Bridgewater. She was the grandmother of John Walsh, Jr. and his wife Denise, Joseph P. Walsh, Daniel P. Walsh and his fiancé Stefanie Weiner, Meghan P. Walsh, Erin K. Walsh, Nicholas Anderson, Conor P. Myers, Colby J. Myers, Riley C. Myers and Brady F. Myers. She was predeceased by her two sisters; Sr. Jeannette Flatten and Anna May Flatten. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, November 30, at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday, November 29, from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
