Frances C. (Selby) Davenport, 75, died Thursday, April 19, 2018, at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing Home in Stoughton, after a long period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Robert T. Davenport, Sr. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Dorchester and was a graduate of Boston Schools. She was a longtime resident of the St. Margaret's Parish in Dorchester, before moving to Stoughton 9 years ago to be closer to her family. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at The Boston Home in Dorchester for many years, retiring several years ago. In her free time, she enjoyed playing scratch tickets and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Davenport was the mother of Robert T. Davenport, Jr. and his wife Carol of Quincy, Robin M. Hanna and her husband David of Holbrook, Christine C. Keaney and her husband Denis of Stoughton and the late Michael J. Davenport. She was the sister of Margaret Mazur of FL, Jean Moschella of S. Boston, April Senseney of PA and the late Frank Selby, Jr. and Ann Sebetes. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday Night, April 23, at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior to the prayers from 4-7 PM. Donations in lieu of flowers in her memory may be made to the Copley at Stoughton Resident's Council Fund, 380 Sumner St., Stoughton, MA 02072.
