Francelina E. Gomes, 87, passed suddenly on January 2, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, Massachusetts. She was the wife for 65 years to Jose P. Gomes and widowed for the past 5 years. She came to the Unites States from Brava, Cape Verde and settled in Boston, Massachusetts in 1969. She moved to Stoughton, Massachusetts 14 years ago until her passing.
Francelina was well known as a master seamstress, her love for gardening, frequent visits to the beach and going to the casino. She was family oriented and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Maria Cardoso of Boston, Elizabeth Gomes of Boston, Fatima Mesmar of Stoughton, Jovina Gomes of Hanson, Jose Gomes of Brockton, Paulina Hunter of Hanson, Edna Gomes of Weymouth, Anna Gomes of Everett, Johnny Gomes of Boston, and Ashley Gomes of Braintree. She is also survived by her sister Maria De Fatima Emilio Teixeira, 25 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and was predeceased by her brother.
