Florence E. (Holmes) Mitchell Griffin

Florence E. (Holmes) Mitchell Griffin was born in Stoughton on February 6, 1926 and died on May 11, 2018, peacefully surrounded by family. Florence resided in Brockton, Wareham and most recently Taunton.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Davis and her life partner Jan Blanchette of North Carolina, several nieces, nephews and friends. Florence was the mother of the late Artie Mitchell, wife of the late Arthur M. Mitchell and Edward J. Griffin, sister of the late Mabel Nelson and daughter of the late Ernest and Viola (Corkum) Holmes.

Florence loved life and her passions included painting, creative arts, love of animals, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, May 19 at 1 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 11 AM - 1 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Florence's memory may be made to either PetSmart Charities, PO Box 7817, Philadelphia, PA 19101 or American Lung Association, 1200 Hosford St., Suite 101, Hudson, WI 54016.
