Florence L. (Lavezzo) Cittadino, 93, died peacefully Sunday, February 26, 2017, surrounded by family at the Copley Nursing Home in Stoughton after a long period of failing health. She was the loving wife of 72 years of Charles L. Cittadino. Born in Jersey City, NJ, Flo was raised in Sharon and was the daughter of the late Sharon Police Chief Egitto T. and Eleanor (Zuffi) Lavezzo. Flo was a graduate of Sharon High School and also attended the Museum of Fine Arts School in Boston. She was a dedicated and loving homemaker and mother who always had an open door to friend, family and neighbors. A longtime parishioner at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, she was also a member of the Fort Nightly Club. for many years. In her free time, Flo enjoyed gardening, art, baking and, above all, spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Flo is survived by her son, Charles L. Cittadino, Jr and his wife Margaret of Sharon and her grandson Nicholas A. Cittadino of Foxboro. She was the sister of Elsie Goodwin of Sharon and the late Anna Lavezzo, Edna Rebello and Paul Lavezzo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, March 3 at 11 AM. Visiting hours prior to the service will be from 9:30-11 AM. Donations in Flo's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Way, Memphis, TN 38105.
