Filomena P. (Cabral) Sousa

Filomena P. (Cabral) Sousa, 88, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Kindred Healthcare Northeast in Stoughton on Monday, November 13, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Antonio C. Sousa. Daughter of the late Maria (Pedro) and Jose Cabral Braga, she was born and raised in Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal before moving to Stoughton 40 years ago. She was a homemaker. Filomena enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and traveling to Santa Maria, Azores, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Filomena is survived by her children, Jose J. Sousa, Armenia M. Sousa and her husband Jose, Isabel S. Cabral, Joana Reis and her husband Emanuel and Susana M. Sousa and her husband Carlos Pimental all of Stoughton, Fatima Figueiredo and her husband Antonio of Santa Maria, Azores and Zenalia M. Sylvia and her husband Bill of Taunton. She was the grandmother of Kevin Sousa, Lisete McDonough, Marina Leonardo, Marco Figueiredo, Derrick Cabral, Ashley Cabral, Kelly Chaves, Jessica Reis, Hailey Pimental, Makayla Pimental, Owen Sylvia, Savannah Sylvia and the late Elda Figueiredo. She was the great-grandmother of Kayla McDonough, Emily McDonough, Mateus Leonardo, Miguel Leonardo and the late Maria Jose Figueiredo and Antonia Figueiredo. She is also survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Saturday, November 18 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
