F. Louise (Bowman) Mallen, 69, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on Thursday, June 30, 2016. Daughter of the late Frances M. Smith and Robert E. Bowman, she was born in Boston, raised in Dorchester and graduated from Dorchester High School. Louise was a resident of Stoughton for the past 30 years. She was a supervisor at Rite Aid in Stoughton for 20 years before retiring in January. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family and was looking forward to the upcoming birth of her granddaughter.
Louise is survived by her children, James M. Mallen and Jill A. Mallen both of Stoughton, as well as her grandson, Jay Mallen. She was the sister of Ellen Boudrout-Young of Pawtucket, RI and the late Linda Patchell. She is also survived by her stepfather, Merlin Smith of Taunton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
