Evelyn A. (Estabrooks) Ryder, 85, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Saturday, September 22 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Ryder. Born in Stoughton, she was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1945. Mrs. Ryder was a clerk in the Treasurer's Office and then the Auditor's Office for the Town of Stoughton for many years before retiring in 1991. She enjoyed sewing and crafting.
Mrs. Ryder was the mother of Cheryl M. Klausman and her husband Jerry of ME, Cynthia A. Totman and her husband Christopher and Gary W. Ryder and his wife Kathy all of Stoughton and the late Kevin W. Ryder. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tracey Wagner, Rebecca and Kevin Klausman and Evelyn F. Ryder as well as 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, September 26 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
