Evelyn F. (Frangioso) Morency, 84, a longtime Stoughton resident, died unexpectedly at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Monday, October 20. She was the wife of the late Wilfred J. "Bib" Morency. Born and educated in Mattapan, she was a resident of Stoughton for the past 53 years. Mrs. Morency was a homemaker. She was a former member of the Sons of Italy in Canton and enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Morency is survived by her children, Suzanne Grove and her husband Robert of CA, Carolyn Ferraro and her husband Paul of Saugus and Paul Morency of Stoughton, as well as her sister, Mary Crisileo of Canton. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, John Morency and 7 siblings.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, October 24 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton. Donations in Evelyn's name may be made to American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
