Eva Margot (Matzik) Andrews

Eva M. (Matzik) Andrews, 102, died Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. Born in Germany, she came to the United States in 1953 and was a resident of Stoughton from 1956-1993. In 1993 she moved to Duxbury where she lived until her death. She was a dedicated homemaker. While in Germany, she was an actress and opera singer and also was an accomplished pianist. She enjoyed yoga, an activity she practiced well into her 90's. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, especially Nantasket and Duxbury Beach. She also enjoyed traveling to her homeland of Germany.

Mrs. Andrews is survived by her son Frank Andrews of Duxbury. She was the beloved Oma of Carmen Fortes and her husband Steven, Tamara Jordan and Jacqueline Andrews. She was the great grandmother of Talitha & Neyana Fortes, Joshua Jordan and the late Elijah Jordan. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters and is also survived by several nieces, nephews and relatives in Germany.

Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, January 29 at 7:30 PM. Visiting Hours prior to the prayers from 5-8 PM. Donations in Eva's memory may be made to the Angell Memorial Hospital, 350 S. Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
