Eugene A. Landolfi, 87, died peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Stoughton under the loving care of his parents John and Jennie (DeVito) Landolfi, he was a 1957 graduate of Stoughton High School. He also attended Northeastern University, Wentworth Institute, and University of Massachusetts Dartmouth for various degrees in business and textiles. Gene proudly served in the United States Army from 1960 until 1962 in the 3rd Armored Division in Germany. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to Stoughton. In 1964, he married Loretta Pell, and together they have spent the last 60 years married and have raised two beloved children. He was a resident of Sharon for over 53 years. 

Gene was a 42 year employee of Draper Knitting Company in Canton, retiring as Vice President in 2001 and continuing on the board of trustees for many years after that. In 1978, along with his brother Fred, he founded Landy’s Market in Raynham. They ran the business for several years before Gene stepped away to spend more time with his family. Gene and Loretta loved to travel and the fond memories of their trips to Italy, Spain and other parts of the world. He was a member of the Sons of Italy in Stoughton. Gene enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing cards with family and friends, was an avid reader and great cook. In his younger years, he enjoyed golfing, racquetball, making wine, and clamming. Gene’s favorite thing was to be surrounded by his whole beloved family. 

In addition to his wife, Loretta F. (Pell) Landolfi, of Sharon, he is survived by his two children, Regina M. Campagna and her husband John of Norton, and Peter A. Landolfi and his wife Victoria of RI. He was the loving “Pop-Pop” of Hunter, Sophie, Jack, Sam and Lily. Gene was the brother of Edward Landolfi of Brockton, Richard and William Landolfi and Mary Aylward Darois all of Stoughton, Ann Duguay of NH and the late Joseph, Frank, Frederick, Paul and Charles Landolfi. He is also survived by his Sister-in-law Mary Khoury of West Yarmouth, Brother-in-Law Richard Pell of Sandwich, and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton, on Tuesday August 13th, 2024 from 4-7PM. Funeral Services will be private with burial at Knollwood Memorial Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider donating in Eugene’s Name to:
