Ernest A. Coletti, 80, died on Friday, March 31 in Clearwater, FL after a period of failing health. He was the husband of 53 years of Barbara (Stacey) Coletti. Born and educated in Brighton, Mr. Coletti was a resident of Stoughton for over 20 years before moving to Clearwater, FL 16 years ago. He was a WW II Veteran of the US Army. Mr. Coletti was the owner of Baker St. Deli in West Roxbury for over 10 years, retiring at age 62. Prior to that, he worked as a Laborer for Local 22 in Boston for 30 years, retiring in 1976 at which time he bought the Baker St. Deli. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling, playing cards and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by his 9 children: John "Jack" Coletti of Stoughton, Patricia MacDonald of Billerica, Jeanne Howe of Raynham, Lorraine Matis of Holden, Jodi Gambrazzio of Freetown, Barbara Goularte of CA, Ernest of ME, Robert of NH and Michael of Charlestown. He was the father of the late Linda Ricker and Anthony Coletti. Mr. Coletti was the brother of Gerard of Newton, Angelina Tarantino of Newton, Mary Alabiso of FL and the late Daniel, Armando and Anthony Coletti. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours prior to service from 9 AM. Donations in Ernie's name may be made to Hospice of Florida Suncoast, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760. Burial will be private.
