Ernest P. Blye, Sr., 74, died unexpectedly February 6, 2013 at his home. He was the husband of the late Carole I. (Elsemiller) Blye. Born in Stoughton, he was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton Schools. Mr. Blye was a longtime resident of Stoughton. He worked as a Meat Cutter in several Stop & Shop Supermarkets in the area for over 42 years. He retired several years ago. Mr. Blye was a member of the Meat Cutters Union. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Stoughton. In his free time, he enjoyed playing horseshoes and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Ernest P. Blye, Jr., David M. Blye and Pamela A. Amrock all of Stoughton, Steven J. Blye of Weymouth and Glenn D. Blye of West Bridgewater. He was the brother of Sally Chisholm of Holbrook and was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. He is also survived by 15 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and 1 great grandson.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Tuesday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM.
