Erica M. Ames

Erica M. Ames, 26, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 7, 2016. She was the daughter of Laura and Chris Ames and sister to Drew Ames. Erica was the loving granddaughter of Roderick Ames and Janet Ames and the late Emma and Hugh MacDonnell. She was the niece of Maggie and John Nunes, Paula and John Lester, Hugh and Marian MacDonnell, Jean and Stephen Rimmer, John and Jean MacDonnell, Greg Ames, Michelle Ayochok, Alex Ayochok, Cory Ayochok, Alexis Ayochok and Amanda Ayochok. She was the cousin of Leslie Baker, David Cordan, Gillian Chick, Jameson MacDonnell, Marisa MacDonnell, Sydney Rimmer, Meri Roche, Paige Roche, Katherine Chick and Jonathon Chick.

Erica was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 2008 and graduated from UMass Boston where she earned a BA in History. Erica loved her family, especially her best buddy, her brother Drew. She loved working with children, music, art and history. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She loved her dog Barkley, aka Sparkles. She will be forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, December 14 from 9-11:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 12 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Erica's memory may be made to Globe Santa Fund, PO Box 491, Medford, MA 02155 (GlobeSanta.org) or Cradles to Crayons, 155 N. Beacon St., Boston, MA 02135 (Cradlestocrayons.org) or a charity of your choice.
