Ellen F. (Marron) Hochmuth, 90, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died on Monday, December 31 at Baypointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Alfred E. Hochmuth, Jr. Born in Stoughton to Leo and Elizabeth (Hooper) Marron, she was a graduate of St. Mary's School, Stoughton High School, Class of 1939 and Lasell College. Mrs. Hochmuth worked in the cafeteria in the Stoughton Public Schools for many years before retiring several years ago. She was active at Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton and the Ladies Sodality and the Massachusetts Catholic Woman's Guild at the church. She was a devoted wife and mother who will be remembered with love and missed greatly. In her free time and more than anything else, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mrs. Hochmuth is survived by her children, Ann O'Grady of Stoughton, Ned Hochmuth of Middleboro and Jane Lang of Norton. She was the sister of Jane DuBois of MO and the late Francis and Ann Marron. She was the loving grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Procession will be assembling at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, January 5 at 10 AM followed by a procession and Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours omitted. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Ellen's memory may be sent to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
