Elizabeth A. (Crean) Ventresco

Elizabeth A. (Crean) Ventresco, 77, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died Monday at home under the care of her family. She was the wife of Peter Angelo Ventresco. Born in Stoughton, August 1, 1934 a daughter of the late Dennis and Rosabel (Pollycutt) Crean, she was raised in Stoughton and was a 1952 graduate of Stoughton High School.

She was a caring and generous wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister to all who knew her, always providing a warm and welcoming place for family and friends to gather in the homestead in which she was raised. For her extended family, "Aunt Betty's" was always a favorite and frequent destination.

She enjoyed attending theatrical performances in Boston and on Broadway, traveling and camping with her husband and family. She was an accomplished cook and baker, keeping family recipes alive and passing them on to younger children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed bowling, bingo and dancing.

In addition to her husband, Elizabeth is survived by five children, Michael Ventresco and his wife Kim of Oradell, NJ, Lucille Ventresco and Elizabeth Merzi, both of Stoughton, Peter Ventresco and his wife Michelle of West Bridgewater and Ralph Ventresco and his wife Gina of North Easton. She is also survived by a brother, Daniel F. Crean and his wife Constance of Pensacola, Fla.; ten grandchildren, Julianna and Nina Ventresco, Daniel Stroman, Elizabeth, Angela and Anna Merzi, Dante, Lydia, Alexa and Domenic Ventresco; she was also the sister of the late Joseph Crean, Eileen V. Fitzgerald Laporte, Albert Crean, Ralph Crean, Jean Hausammann, Robert Crean and Henry Crean.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, December 10 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
