Elizabeth Theresa (Toomey) Sugrue, 88, died on November 17, 2018, surrounded by her loving family at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Joseph P. Sugrue. Born in Revere, she was educated in Chelsea public schools. Elizabeth was a housewife who was active in helping at the Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton and volunteered at the Good Samaritan Medical Center. In her free time, she loved to read and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sugrue was the mother of Denise A. Fichera and her husband Russell of North Easton, Ellen M. Garjian of North Easton, Patricia T. Mazza of North Easton, Linda S. Panico and her husband Steven of Fort Myers, FL, Maureen Rush and her husband Richard of North Easton, Joseph D. Sugrue of North Easton, Michael K. Sugrue of North Easton, and Teresa J. Michael and her husband John of South Easton. She was the sister of Mary P. Spinazzola of Revere and the late James Toomey, Joseph Toomey, Richard Toomey and Eileen Toomey. She is survived by 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, at 10 AM.
