Elizabeth J. "Betty" (Hull) Dawe, 89, a longtime resident of Marshfield, died peacefully at Royal Cape Cod Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Buzzards Bay on Thursday, February 25, 2016. She was the wife of the late John A. Dawe. Born in Beatrice, Nebraska, she was raised in Kansas and Oregon. Betty was a homemaker who raised her family in Stoughton, where she resided for many years before moving to Marshfield over 30 years ago. She was a member of the Stoughton Women's Club and a former communicant of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Stoughton. She enjoyed painting, especially water colors, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Dawe is survived by her children, Susan C. Hardy and her husband John of Dover, NH, Jeanne E. Roberts and her husband Dennis of Dennisport, formerly of Pembroke, Kerry E. Durgin and her husband Paul of Sandwich and John A. Dawe of Marshfield. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Betty's Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's memory may be made to Fidelis Hospice, 25 Railroad Ave., Suite 501, Haverhill, MA 01832.
