Eleanor M. (Misiewicz) Strug, 87, died Monday, May 4, 2015, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Emil J. Strug. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Boston, MA and a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School. She was a longtime resident of Stoughton. Mrs. Strug was a dedicated homemaker and mother. She was an avid gardener and a member of the Easton Garden Club. A parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton, in her free time, she enjoyed sewing, knitting and cooking.
She is survived by her children; Stephen J. Strug and his wife Teresa of Halifax, Susan M. Keshian and her husband Daniel of Boston, Christopher G. Strug and his wife Susan of Westboro and Scott D. Strug and his wife Elaine of White Plains, NY. She was the sister of Dr. Robert Misiewicz of Norton, Joan Kovaly of Dover and the late Irene Grynkiewicz. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 6 nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday from 9 AM-10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, Canton at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
