Eleanor M. "Ellie" (Walsh) McLellan

Eleanor M. "Ellie" (Walsh) McLellan, 82, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Charles R. "Russ" McLellan. Daughter of the late William and Ann (Clark) Walsh, she was born and raised in Boston. She was a 1953 graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School, where she had perfect attendance all 4 years. Ellie was a resident of Stoughton for 55 years. She was a homemaker who devoted her life to raising her children. She loved playing cards with her family, knitting and music.

Ellie is survived by her loving children, Leigh C. McLellan and his wife Paula of Framingham, William E. McLellan and his fiancé Karen Ferrera of Easton, David R. McLellan and his wife Beth of Webster, NY, Susan A. Ledin and her husband Jeff of Stoughton, Catherine M. McLellan of Franklin, Donald S. McLellan and his wife Odilia of Middleboro and Thomas M. McLellan of Stoughton, and her step-daughter, Michelle Miller-Llanos of Florida. She was the grandmother of Michael Scroxton, David Painten, Ashley Painten, Amanda Ledin, Meghan (McLellan) Viola, Sean Gearin, Jeffrey Ledin, Jr., David M. McLellan, Wesleigh McLellan, Caitlyn Gearin, Eric McLellan, Caileigh McLellan and Samantha America and great-grandmother of Ariana Scroxton, Owen Painten and Dylan Scroxton. She was the sister of Mary Holland of Maine, Barbara Connors of Roslindale, William Walsh, Jr. of Andover and the late Ann Shuley and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, April 10 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Ellie's memory may be made to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130.
