Eleanor M. (DiCastro) Louko, 83, died Saturday, September 26, at the Brigham & Women's Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Toivo R. Louko. Born and raised in Stoughton, she graduated from Stoughton High School in 1944 and was voted Most Likely to Succeed. She worked as a secretary for Stone and Webster in Boston and for Stoughton Junior High before ending her career working for Marshalls in Canton. Eleanor's hobbies included volunteering, shopping and bingo. In her spare time she enjoyed having lunch and playing cards with her friends. Her favorite pastime was traveling to Foxwoods with her sister Gloria and her husband Anthony. Eleanor was actively involved in the Catholic Women's Guild and the Minerva Lodge 1846.
She is survived by her three children : Steven R. Louko and his wife Cynthia of Easton, Paul F. Louko and his wife Nancy of Easton and Janice M. O'Neil and her husband David of Stoughton. She is survived by her loving sister and best friend Gloria Goodman and her husband Anthony of Stoughton. She was the sister of the late Joseph DiCastro and Anthony DiCastro. Eleanor is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and also by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Eleanor was loved and admired by all.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday, September 30 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
