Eleanor S. (Lewis) Gaibl, 88, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Norwood Hospital on Sunday, February 1, 2015. She was surrounded by the love of her grateful family and under the watchful gaze of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Gaibl for almost 60 years before he left us to be with the Lord in 2007. Born in Stoughton, she was a graduate of Stoughton High School. For many years she enjoyed the fellowship of the Advent Christian Church formerly of Brockton. She rarely missed her Sunday attendance through the births of her six children. She taught Sunday School and prepared the Host for Communion every week. Mrs. Gaibl was a homemaker, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She leaves her legacy of unconditional love and compassion for all who knew her.
Mrs. Gaibl was the mother of Marjorie E. Young and her husband Bruce of Hanson, Robert L. Gaibl and Richard C. Gaibl and his wife Elise all of Stoughton, Martha E. Monsini and her husband Pio of Easton, Millie E. Vella and her husband Charles of Brockton and the late Ronald Gaibl. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Eric Young, Meredith Roselli, Jonathan Gaibl, Lindsey Gaibl, Jennifer Monsini, Angela Monsini, Katrina Monsini, Gino Monsini, Melissa Vella, Charles Vella and Austin Vella, as well as her great-grandchildren, Hayley Roselli, Maya Roselli, Hunter Young and Damian Monsini. She was the sister of Elaine Davis of East Bridgewater. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, February 6 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours prior from 10-11 AM. Interment will be private.
