Elaine F. (Sacramona) Olszewski, 81, a 53-year resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at the Accent Care Inpatient Hospice Center in Milton on Friday, June 2, 2023. She was the devoted wife of the late Stephen H. Olszewski of the Boston Fire Department. Elaine was the daughter of the late Lena (Cibotti) Sacramona. Born in Boston and raised in Hyde Park, she was a graduate of Cardinal Cushing Central High School in South Boston, Class of 1959. After years of being homemaker, Elaine then restarted her professional career as a secretary at Faxon in Westwood for 15 years. Subsequently, she then worked at Senior Whole Health in Raynham for over 10 years before retiring 3 years ago. Elaine was active at St. James Church in Stoughton for many years. Her love for animals brought her a lifetime job. She was lucky enough to have a close group of friends that spanned decades.
Elaine is survived by her four children, Bruce Olszewski and his wife Kristine of Easton, Scott Olszewski and his wife Kim of Whitman, Julie Cappelletti of Whitman and Dennis Olszewski and his wife Erin of Avon. She was the sister of the late Bobby and Richie Sacramona. Elaine is also survived by 13 grandchildren and Scott’s “Little Brother”.
The family would also like to extend an opportunity for those to offer condolences for Stephen H. Olszewski. Stephen unexpectedly passed away on May 21st, 2020, and funeral services were private due to the pandemic.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, June 8 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elaine’s memory may be made to the MSPCA-Angell, Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
